Linear Guideway
Prauna linear guideways deliver superior rigidity, high accuracy, and long service life for demanding CNC, automation, and precision motion applications. Available in miniature (MGN series), standard (HGH/HGW), and heavy-load (EGH series) configurations with ball or roller recirculating elements. Ground rail surfaces achieve H-grade (±10 µm) and P-grade (±5 µm) accuracy classes.

Product Description
Prauna linear guideways are engineered using precision-ground alloy steel rails and carriages with recirculating ball or roller elements. The four-row Gothic arch raceway geometry enables equal load capacity in radial, reverse-radial, and lateral directions — making these guideways ideal for multi-axis applications where loads shift dynamically.
The carriages feature integrated end caps with return channels and grease nipples for easy field lubrication. Side seals and end seals protect internal rolling elements from contamination in industrial environments. Optional stainless steel 440C construction is available for food processing and washdown environments.
Prauna guideways are dimensionally interchangeable with HIWIN, THK, and NSK equivalent series, making them a direct drop-in replacement for OEM and field service upgrades without machine modifications.

Installation Guidelines
Surface Preparation: Machine the mounting surface to Ra ≤ 1.6 µm flatness. For parallel rail installations, both datum surfaces must be within 0.02 mm over full rail length. Degrease surfaces before rail contact.
Rail Mounting: Set the datum rail first using a reference edge; tighten bolts from centre outward in alternating sequence. Torque rail mounting bolts to specification (M5: 6 Nm, M8: 20 Nm, M12: 50 Nm). Install parallel rail using a precision spacer or dial gauge to maintain inter-rail parallelism within specification.
Carriage Installation: Slide carriages onto rail from the open end using the supplied end-stop fixture. Never remove carriages from rail without end-stop protection — rolling elements will dislodge. Torque carriage mounting bolts to application specification.
Maintenance & Care
Lubrication Schedule: Re-grease every 500 km of travel or every 6 months (whichever comes first). Use lithium-based grease NLGI #2 or equivalent. Apply via grease nipple until fresh grease appears at seals.
Inspection: Check for abnormal noise or vibration monthly. Inspect seals for damage or contamination ingress. Verify rail fastener torque every 12 months. Check for corrosion at rail-machine interface in humid environments.
Service Life: Rated travel life is calculated per ISO 14728 using dynamic load rating and applied load. Contact Prauna technical support for life calculation assistance specific to your duty cycle.
