Seals & Damping
Rubber Bumper Pads
Prauna rubber bumper pads provide reliable shock absorption, vibration damping, and end-stop cushioning for industrial machinery, automation systems, and structural applications. Available in natural rubber (NR), neoprene (CR), nitrile (NBR), and polyurethane (PU) compounds in round, square, rectangular, and D-profile shapes with threaded stud, through-hole, or self-adhesive mounting options.

Product Description
Prauna rubber bumper pads are compression-moulded from high-quality elastomer compounds to deliver consistent energy absorption and vibration isolation across a wide operating range. The cellular geometry allows controlled deflection under load, converting kinetic impact energy into heat rather than transmitting shock to the machine frame.
Our neoprene compound grade offers excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and moderate oil exposure, making it the standard choice for outdoor and light industrial use. The nitrile (NBR) grade provides superior oil and fuel resistance for hydraulic and lubricated machine environments. Polyurethane bumpers deliver the highest energy absorption capacity and abrasion resistance for heavy-duty impact applications.
Threaded steel inserts are vulcanised into the rubber during moulding, ensuring pull-out strength that exceeds the bolt proof load in all standard sizes. Self-adhesive variants use 3M VHB tape backing for tool-free installation on clean, smooth surfaces.

Installation Guidelines
Threaded Stud Type: Clean the mounting surface and thread the stud into a tapped hole or through a clearance hole with a washer and nut. Torque to 70% of thread proof load to prevent over-compression of the rubber body.
Self-Adhesive Type: Degrease the mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry fully. Peel the liner from the VHB tape backing and press firmly for 30 seconds with even pressure. Allow 24 hours for full bond development before applying dynamic loads.
Load Positioning: For maximum performance, ensure the load is applied axially. Lateral loads reduce compression set resistance. For angled loads, select a conical or D-profile bumper type.
Maintenance & Care
Inspection Schedule: Inspect for cracking, tearing, or excessive permanent set every 6 months. Replace any bumper showing surface cracking deeper than 1 mm. Check stud threads for corrosion annually in outdoor or humid environments.
Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid solvents, petroleum-based cleaners, and strong acids/alkalis. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Storage: Store uninstalled bumpers in a cool, dark location away from ozone sources and direct sunlight. Ideal storage temperature: 15–25°C. Shelf life: 5 years from manufacture date when properly stored.
